News-ABETI

ABETI is supported by DOCUBOX.

ABETI, our film project was honored with the DOCUBOX: The African Documentary Film Fund Award at the 4th edition of the GREAT LAKES CREATIVE PRODUCERS LAB held Kampala (Uganda) from November 4 to 8, 2024.

This award is a big boost for Junior Mozese and Ruben Mayoko, the young and ambitious directors of this documentary film about the story of Abeti – a woman in her forties who is fighting to escape the inhumane conditions in which she currently lives in order to provide a better life for her two daughters and her new-born grandchild.

ABETI is a difficult but very important feature-length documentary in a world where almost everything is going wrong. That’s why our film company ZERO ATTITUDE FLIX is fighting to make it a reality.

The Democratic Republic of Congo was not (initially) invited to this prestigious event for East African producers. We lobbied hard to get in, and our ABETI project won a nice award.

Thanks to the GREAT LAKES CREATIVE PRODUCERS LAB team, the DOCUBOX team, the partners, the mentors and the colleagues.

Projet NZONZING de Zero Attitude Flix

It’s a wrap for NZONZING. What a crazy film project!

In a world where the greyness of robotics is defined as the only option for the future.

In a world where physical appearance is beginning to count for more than anything else.

In a world where humans are increasingly isolated.

In a Democratic Republic of the Congo where chaos is institutionalized; Lordi Hénoch, Tychique and Andria invent an ingenious business to support themselves and break down borders.

They alone carry the energy of a whole generation abandoned to its own fate but who refuses to capitulate.

Lordi Henoch, Tychic and Andria do not complain. They work, they fail, they laugh, they cry and most of all… they live.

We’ve been working on the documentary film NZONZING since 2019, and we hope it will carry that energy – essence without which a city like Kinshasa would already have lost its incandescent luminescence.

Now it’s time for post-production.
